Life gets messy sometimes. This can be from a major event, like the arrival of a new baby or sometimes it happens slowly over time (Thank you, 2020!). Regardless of how you got there, I am here to help you get unstuck and accomplish your goals. Especially since the pandemic, we’ve realized how much our homes represent our personalities and who we are. The state of your home can have a profound impact on the state of your relationships and mental health. Organizing is my love language and I am here to help! 

Hi, I’m Jane.

I am Jane Turner, the owner of Lilac Organizing. Having over a decade of experience as an executive assistant and corporate events manager, being highly organized and resourceful were pivotal to my success. I had a front row seat of the impact time management and efficient processes has on a company’s leadership and performance.

After the birth of my son, in order to keep up with demanding professional responsibilities, I realized it was more important than ever to bring that level of organization to my own home.

Prior to my corporate life, I spent my days with (20) five-year-olds…
THIS was the experience where my organizing skills truly shined. A kindergarten teacher doesn’t stand a chance without effective organization and systems.

Today, I find myself in a position to help others. 

I have the heart of a teacher and a passion for organizing and decluttering. I want to help you decide whether your stuff is still serving you. It’s been incredible to help individuals and families reclaim their space, and get back their time and mental bandwidth to focus on the things they love.

  • Personality Type

    I am strong, confident and greatly value my relationships. I’ve spent significant time on my personal growth journey and becoming uncomfortably self-aware. I am an Enneagram 3 (“The Achiever”), a D/S (“The Marathoner”) on the DISC Scale, and an ENFJ (“The Giver”) on the Myers Briggs scale.

  • Cleveland Rocks

    My family and I recently purchased our first home in Euclid, OH. What an incredible community of neighbors we’ve discovered. The neighborhood moms have become my girlfriends, and my husband and I feel incredibly fortunate to raise our son here. During the summer, we spend as much time enjoying Lake Erie as the weather allows, and other times you can find us at the CMA or the Lake Erie Science Center.

  • Fall is my favorite season!

    This November birthday gal loves apple picking with my family, roasting marshmallows with our neighbors, or driving through the beautiful autumn foliage. I never had seasons growing up in sunny San Diego, CA, and now I could never imagine returning to life without proper seasons.

    Life Happens

    Like most people, I’ve gone through my share of highs and lows- including losing my father at age 11 and experiencing a divorce in my 20s. I bring a sense of humor and ZERO judgment to each session. I developed the life motto “if we didn’t laugh, we’d cry” in high school and am well versed in making lemonade out of life’s lemons.

  • Book Worm

    My favorite guilty pleasure is getting lost in a good book. My favorite genres are historical fiction, murder mystery crime novels, and fantasy. Some of my favorite books include Little Women (Alcott), The Nightingale (Hannah), Red Scarf Girl (Jiang) and The Six Wives of Henry VII (Weir). I’m a bonafide Harry Potter fanatic and most recently finished reading The Prey series by John Sandford.

  • 90s Alt Rock, anyone?

    Even though you can catch me enjoying a range of music from Beyoncé to Garth Brooks, my heart belongs to 90s alt rock. The Counting Crows, Alanis Morissette, STP, Ani DiFranco, The Cranberries, Jewel, and pretty much anyone who would’ve performed on the 1998 Lilith Fair Tour are the artists and bands that have had the greatest impact in my world.
